Critical and Analytical Review of the Current Literature on Religious Madāris and Universities in Pakistan

Abstract

Pakistan is an Islamic Ideological country. That is why there are a special numbers of religious schools known as DĪNI MADĀRIS along with the modern sciences institutions called Universities. These two types of educational systems have been discussed by various intellectuals in shape of books, research papers and speeches. The objective of this article is to introduce all these scholarly work after a critical and analytical study. This research was conducted on sixteen different books and eight scholarly research papers. In this article analytical and critical approach was adopted for evaluation of the literature. In light of the above critical study it is founded that a great knowledge base has existed. Results also found that most of the researchers only criticized the religious schools and they have not paid any attention to these religious schools contributions. Research material in which system of these modern educational institutions has been investigated is rare
